A 6E Intruder

The A-6 Intruder is the standard bomber aircraft of the U.S. Navy dating back to the sixties when it made his operative debut during the Vietnam War.

This aircraft, notwithstanding its strange shape, proved to be one of the world's most formidable all-weather attack-aircraft. Because of its sophisticated electronic equipment the A-6 is in a position to carry out precision bombing using the entire arsenal of the US navy: conventional and laser-guided bombs, anti-ship and anti-radar missiles.

The robust fuselage, designed for aircraft carrier use, guarantees an extended "life span": the Intruder is planned to be in service well after the year 2000.
