M.T.M. " Barchino "

The Modified Tourist Speedboat was devised between 1940 and 1942, perfecting the
models that began to appear from 1936.

The theoretical use foresaw the
arrival close to the enemy fleet; the pilot then had to launch it at
maximum speed in the collision course with the target, letting himself
fall into the water one hundred meters before the impact.

Media of this kind were used successfully by the 10th MAS Fleet in operations against
the British navy at Suda (Crete) and in Malta.
