World War 2
After the first World War, from 1914-1918, the world went into a global conflict once again at the start of 1939, thus entering into the second world war.
Consisting of the majority of countries, divided into two primary sides ‘the Allies & the Axis’, the war lasted till 1945, and came to be a much advanced level of warfare compared to its predecessor. Aircrafts became a common military weapon, and the first nuclear bombs also became the hallmark of this ruthless war.
While it officially began when Adolf Hitler, the German Nazi leader invaded the country of Poland, it came to a dreadful end when the United States launched two nuclear bomb explosions on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
After the end of the World War, a Cold War between major powers of the Soviet Union and the West lasted even longer, from 1947 onward.
