Located on the Champ de Mars in Paris, the Eiffel Tower has been a longstanding global icon of France and one of the most prominent structures in the world. Named after its designer, engineer Gustave Eiffel, the tower was built as the entrance arch to the 1889 World’s Fair and stands at 1,063 feet tall. It was the tallest man-made structure in the world for 41 years until the Chrysler Building was built in 1930 in New York. The tower is made fully of wrought iron and stands at 330 metres (around an 81 storey building). Among French locals it is often referred to as the Iron Lady (La dame de fer) and is globally regarded as a popular tourist destination with one of the highest number of visitors for any monument with an entrance fee.
Assembling Details
This DIY sheet to 3D model comes unassembled and can easily be made by popping pieces out from metal sheets provided and using tabs and holes to connect them.
No glue or solder will be required but using tweezers and wire cutters can help make assembling easier.
