BMW ISETTA 250
The BMW Isetta, affectionately known as the "Knutschkugel", revolutionised the German automotive market in 1955. As the first mass-produced economy car, it helped many people to achieve motorised mobility. The microcar, originally developed by the Italian company Iso, was licensed and further developed by BMW.
With its characteristic front entrance, economical single-cylinder engine and low price, the Isetta quickly became a symbol of the German economic miracle. Between 1955 and 1962, over 160,000 copies were produced, which have become sought-after collector's items today.
