One for the Ages

Renowned British manufacturer Lotus introduced the legendary Seven series between 1957 and 1973, helping to settle this lightweight kit car in the public's imagination across four model Series.

The famous Lotus Seven, is a two seater, open top and open wheel sports car, known for its lightweight and simple design.

The Series II car - the most streamlined version - was announced in 1960; it had a redesigned frame, modified rear suspension, and smaller 13-inch wheels. The Lotus 7’s Nose cowl and fenders were switched from aluminium to FRP, while in Super 7 cars, a higher-performance engine was used.

After the last production of Lotus 7 by Lotus in 1973, Caterham took over its manufacture and the car still appeals to enthusiasts today, now known by the name of Caterham Seven.
