Prepare for an intriguing revelation from the FAA!

Returning to our Airfix range after a decade-long absence, the Supermarine Seafire emerges as a marvel of the skies. The XVII variant marked the beginning of Seafire models featuring a modified rear fuselage and a distinct teardrop-shaped canopy. Its reinforced structure meant increased weaponry capacity, accommodating both fuel tanks and rockets beneath its wings. Despite its frontline service until the early 1950s, it was eventually downgraded to training duties.

Produced as the Navy's response to the beloved Spitfire, this masterpiece astounded the world with its unparalleled performance, excelling in the most challenging conditions. Its effortless operation from aircraft carriers established its dominance both in land and sea environments. Its folding wings allowed swift takeoffs and landings on naval decks, extending its influence across the seas.

Its remarkable design ensured both agility and speed, characterised by sleek, aerodynamic lines that boosted manoeuvrability and exuded elegance. This aviation marvel achieved impressive speeds, reaching approximately 378 miles per hour (608 km/h), providing pilots an undeniable advantage.
